antifreeze question?

What type of antifreeze are you guys running in your i5's?

I've always flushed mine, and used the pink/red stuff with distilled water and a 50/50 mix.

I just wanted to check if ive been doing the right thing?

I have pink in my KV quattro and pink i my AEL C4 A6..

Don't think so, I've always used it as our water is really hard so avoids the mineral deposits

So... is OAT basically what G12 is?

Also, I've just been reading that OAT is bad for copper radiators and heater matrix's? And is no good for lead soldered rads either?


Does my kv quattro, or even my c4 AEL A6 have any copper in the cooling system? Or lead solder?

Hummm... the more i look into this, the more un sure i become. :-\
