Sound had changed off boost - RS2 (with video)

Long story short, or short story long?
On my Friday I had to pick my sick Father up from the airport. Traffic was holding me up so I ended up going around the outside of this stupid tourist V8 trike. It was kinda funny cos he was meant to be impressing his passengers riding on the back of the bike. They all put their hands up as we was winding the bike up and it got blown off by the RS2

Anyway, for some reason on boost something strange happened, on WOT the car stopped pulling hard and went tisssh, tisssh twice (out of the DV). I kept going to the airport and picked Dad up. The car was pulling 4psi and I could hear a boost leak on anything more than light throttle. I though it might have split the diagram in the DV.
The next day I decided to check the DV. I pulled the headlight out to access the DV, took off the top of the airbox, disconnected the N75 etc. The DV still had good finger pressure so I thought I would check the pipe that attaches to the turbo and airbox to see if I could find and splits. It was fine so I looked at the boost pipe up by the throttlebody. I could see a clip had moved and that was where the leak was. I put everything back together and the car seems to run fine and pulls hard.

The thing is it now sounds very different getting off boost, maybe more like the wastegate than DV What have I don't wrong?

You can hear it in the below video:

Also, I should point out the car is standard apart from Roose boost hoses and an S3 710N DV.

That is a bypass (diverter) valve that either has a failed diaphragm or is diverting to atmosphere (like the original rallye quattros)

New DV time. They're gutted on loads of new Audis so should be about £30 from the dealer or £20 on eBay. Search 710N

One more thing: Which way round did you fit it? The boost should act on the side, not the base. This can also cause some odd running, as can not having the small hose correctly plumbed in the inlet manifold, although this would cause running issues.

The new DV is in and the car is back to normal.
I think the old DV might have been fine, it could have be the end of the hose than fits over the nipple that was leaking or not sealing correctly. I trimmed it up and I'm back in business.
