Any shops or members offering a porting
service for stock AAN throttle bodies? 034
stopped offering this service. It brings the I.D.
from 65mm to 70mm. Any help is appreciated.
I still do them at a cost of gb£180 incl aquablasting the whole unit to look as new but they come out at 69.3mm iirc as 70mm leaves too thin a clamping wall
Throttle body at 65mm with the cheese wedge removed does not offer a restriction at 99% of power figures that are available on pump. Going for a larger TB size allows for faster intake manifold filling resulting in a more responsive throttle. Actual power difference will be minimal.

What's the purpose of the cheese wedge?

With the large throttle body on my inlet it's a bit jerky when cruising at almost zero throttle. not sure if that's a lack of wedge and larger apeture. It does respond to the throttle quickly though.

Yep that would be it being less progressive. Not ideal on a daily ,good on a track car.
JP pointed out alot of the
benefits to doing this mod.
034 and others also told me
I would have increased throttle
response which is what I was
mostly after.
