What brands of parts are you guys using? TB job

I'm specifically looking for what my best options are
for a water pump and thermostat for my AAN. What
are the next best brands to use besides OEM Genuine.

for those over here we have various parts shops we could use along with main dealer and ebay.

personally id get them from any reputable parts company. i dont feel main dealer is needed on these.

you may find only certain bits are available from aftermarket suppliers so your path to parts is somewhat directed anyway.

I got HEPU waterpump and Mahle/Knecht thermostat. Wahler thermostats are also good.

The genuine ones (I believe) have plastic fins, the Hepu one has metal fins - I was under the impression the Hepu one was preferred...

Wahler is OE for thermostat and quite easy to obtain (even via Amazon...)

I bought (for 7A CQ) a genuine waterpump and it had plastic impeller.......lesson learnt!
........it wasn't cheap either.

I got a 3b water pump from skf. It was a steel impeler and seems good quality. Not too expensive.
