Map sensor has been changed, and thers no marking on the MAP sensor !
I hope the Chip is from Minhea as Friedling Reckon it's a bloody good chip.
He's also ruled out MTM as the Chip Maufactuer as the map doesnt have ther coding.
Just to do a pressure test and Correct the fuel Usage.

If its one of Mihneas creations then it may be a 2bar MAP that has been recal'd to 2.5 or 3bar. The guy he used to do the MAP recal grinds off the original markings to avoid confusion.
The T piece comming out of the MAF to Turbo Pipe is the cause.
The WGFV has popped off the T Piece.
Looks like the connecting washer/clip has broken.
Is this a single piece item ?
I've cable tied it down and siliconed it as well.
What is the function of this T cause i cant work out what is going on ther.
U got the solenoid WGFV, pipe to wastegate, one to pressure side of turbo, and to MAF to turbo Pipe. ??
What goes on here ?
Also changed the pipe at the front of the engine (manifold to engine).
The Boost drops off quite considerably from 1.4 bar down to about 1.0 bar while the engine revs up !

Ill let the fundis explain the working of the stuff.
Glad you got the car running fine.
most good generic chips will drop off the boost like that to protect the engine.

That T-piece is actually an integral part of the WGFV. The WGFV is nothing more than an 'air switch' that is controlled by the ECU. In its resting position the WGFV directs boost pressure (from the take-off point on the turbo) to the WG. If the WGFV stays in that position all the time then boost control would be done by the mechanical nature of the spring in the WG such that when boost gets to a certain limit the WG starts to open.
Audis use of the WGFV provides software control of boost by switching the WG input away from the boost line such that higher boost levels can be achieved under ECU control than what the mechanical spring can do on its own.
This gives the Audi an elegant failsafe mode such that when the ECU detects major problems it can turnoff boost control and then the engine is limited to the lower boost limit of the spring.
PS - Boost dropping from a max of 1.4bar thru 1bar and down to 0.8-0.9 bar on the redline is perfectly good and normal behaviour on a chipped K24 engine. You have to look at the K24 compressor map to understand why, but essentially the K24 is simply not capable of running higher boost at the redline - it is not efficient enough and air temperature suffers as a result.
Hotter air means less performance, more chance of knock and its just bad mmkay !
Is ther any connection from the WGFV to the MAF to Turbo inlet pipe ?
Dont get why compressed air should be dumped ther...
It's either diverted to the waste gate or remainds in the system when the car builds up boost.
I guess i should replace the entire unit then, as the solenoid has broken off mine
and i patched it up to get going.
Already Looking at a better turbo to install.
I believe ther's better out therr than ther RS2 Spec Turbo's.

As for turbo choices - sure there's *better* turbos than an RS2 turbo. A stock K24 is better in that it spools quicker than the RS2 - giving less lag and a lower boost threshold and a monster K26/27/29 hybrid has the ability to flow more air at higher boost levels at the high rev range.
But there is no such thing as a perfect turbo. A K24 has a limit of ~300bhp on our cars and whilst there are monster 450bhp KKK options available they aren't the most enjoyable things to drive in the low-mid range.
The RS2 turbo is the best compromise turbo that I know of for our cars. It is the only turbo that was specifically designed by Audi/Porsche and the KKK folks specifically for the I5 2226cc engine. The ordinary K24, K26 and other turbos are just generic items.
An RS2 turbo will get you to ~370bhp on green injectors and the RS2 EM with an RS2 EM using RS2 or 7A camshafts. It is also very driveable in low-mid range.
Sure you can go for other hybrids and exotic options to deliver more grunt at the top end, but the low end will suffer as a result. All depends on how you drive and what you want the car to do.
Other exotic turbos have hidden extras that you have to consider for the installation - like do the coolant and oil lines fit - or does it need a custom exhaust manifold - is the stock wastegate usable - what about all the custom hoses required. It all amounts to extra time, hassle and money.
The RS2 turbo is tried, proven & trusted as the simplest bolt-on 150bhp upgrade for an S2.
Just my tuppence worth. Have you read my Turbology paper yet ?
Afaik I am the only 1 running Mihnea's RS2 set up in SA.
Paul, 2 or 3 of my buds in Cape Town have bought your 280HP chip sets for their S2s.
Faheemo, use 97 leaded with an octane booster or 102racing fuel, all S2s were able to run leaded in SA, we use a unquire lamba as well, clean the lamda often.
There were some S2s with a Unichip(whatever that is). Audi SA did the MTM chip on some S4s and maybe an S2 as well.
Hahah - just checked my records and I DID supply to ONE guy in SA some time back. I shan't state his name here, but I hope there has been cheeky copying going on down under...

Checked with the 2 guys I know running "Homefries".
One bought from Mihnea (3B) directly and one from you (ABY), so I doubt any copying was going especially in the Cape where there is virtually no expertise on chipping.
The 3rd guy thought his car was chipped until he went for a ride in one that is.
