    N75 options

    Good day!

It seems that our N75 valves have gone NLA. I know that they can be ordered through Audi Tradition, but we'll skip that only as a last resort option.

I once had a N75 valve from 1.8T (AEB), which looked identical to the one I have in my AAN, only it was black not brown. Is it possible to fit it to a I5? Acceptable price too - around 40 euros.

The other option I know that some people switch to a valve from TFSI(?) engines - 06F906283F. You need a matching connector and an extension from the MAF hose, since this valve will most likely not fit there. The price is even better than 1.8T valve - 25 euro for OEM VW and 16 for Pierburg.

See I want to try 1.8T one. I will try and swap it over from my dad's car, because I don't see how insides can make a difference?

If you want to try TFSI valve I can give you mine while my engine is on stand. Connector pins are identical, housing is different but I got few of them too.

I could probably solder a converter.

It's easier and faster to swap housings. Same as on 2.5TDI V6 - there's also a cheaper N75 that has different connector. Others soldered a whole connector, but swapping housings is easier and faster if you know how to disassemble them

I've heard that many similar valves have different resistance range. For example our K(?) ended valves operate between 20-40 ohms, while some other similar valves operate between 25-45 ohms, which can lead to overboosting. So not that simple. But maybe the 1.8T valve can work.

I know that lots of russians are swapping to the TFSI valve without any issues.

there is, Dimitri reported issues with some non-Audi N75 replacements that some of us use (the "heavy duty" one), so don't rush into just any similar type of valve

Audi Tradition is less expensive than that. Cost+shipping+import tax.

                          N75 options

The only option based on the article is the F valve, which has different spring properties. And F valve seems to be superceeded by E.

PRJ could probably shed some light on this.
