Am I right in saying that the RS2 uses a metal head-gasket?
If so, can it be fitted to the other 20V's that use a 'composite' or 'paper' one?
Due to an ongoing gauge reading prob. may go down the head gasket replacement route. Just like to know if it would be a worthwhile 'upgrade'.

Yep the RS2 has a metal gasket and so do many of the later S2 ABY engines. I believe that Audi have actually stopped selling the paper gaskets and only sell the metal version now. I have just had mine replaced on my S4 AAN by Tim Cooper at QRS and he's used a metal gasket set! Give him a try if you want to buy a metal gasket kit, I was very surprised at how competitively priced it was!
