I had this damn misfire that was driving me nuts, so i decided to actually take a look at what might be causing it, as one morning last week the car was stalling when cold and being a right ****** to restart. So I sprayed under the bonnet a light mist of water and could see the spark arcing over the top of the coil.
Luckily I had one 'in stock' thanks to Steve H for that!!
This stopped the car from stallling when cold/damp, but i still had a crappy misfire at the top end. With the cost of the HT leads having gone up recently i decided to take a risk and buy a set of 7A leads from GSF. They do just about fit, but i now cant refit the '20V Turbo' cover. Nevermind!!
The car now doesnt misfire and idles perfectly, as before it was lumpy at idle, i fitted a set of spark plugs whilst i was there too.
The reason for my 4 cylinder moments was the ******ed no. 5 lead, the wire cam eout of the boot!! Not bad for 163k miles!!!
