92.8 crankshaft, Pistons and the right cr

    Hello,

    First, I love this forum.

Secondly, Sorry for my grammar. English reading is much easier than writing.

    Now to the problem .

I own an Audi RS2. The engine was overhauled in 2014 with Pauter rods and Woessner 82.5mm pistons. Charged by a RS2++ turbocharger by TTE.
    Dyno tested 416 hp.
Last weekend I caught a unicorn and bought a new 92.8 crankshaft, now looking for for the right pistons.

    I've found this .
    Volkswagon 2.0 16V engine (9A)
    Strock 92.8
    Bore 82.5
4 valve head with 28mm exhaust and 32mm intake.
The stock Pistons from this engine will often used in 7a stroker engines.
There are also "turbo piston" for this engine available.

    Wiseco K612M825
    Bore 82.5mm
    Comp Height 29.77
    Comp Ratio 9.0:1
    Dome Volume -11
    Gram Weight 275
    Rod 144
    Stroke 92.8

    Wossner K9205DA
    Stroke 92.8mm
    CR 8.0:1
    Dome Volume: -20,1cm³
    Comp Height 30,2mm
    Gram Weight 282g
    Wrist Pin Diameter 20mm
    Rod 144mm
    Bore 82.50mm

Thanks to Error404 for his exel sheet.

Where should i go with the cr, is now the question.

The maximum power is limited by the small RS2 uprgrade turbocharger to around 420 hp. By Wiseco I will reach the original compaction ratio. Maybe a little too much.
By Wössner pistons I will have a lower CR, as I have now. I 'm a little confused , I often read that the compression ratio is important for response. In the next post I read that our engines love a low compression ratio.

I would not use a larger turbocharger as I want the original look. Max boost with 2.5l maybe 1.7 to 1.4 (now 1.5 at 7500rpm)

    thanks for your advice

I use those wossner pistons in a 95.5mm stroker and talk Tdi block in my Urs4 with an efr 6758 . in my engine with the deck skimmed to give 1mm between piston and head I had 8.1:1 compression ratio. The details of the wossner piston dimensions arnt accurate.
