I do not have any wagner stuff and wil properly not get any. Think its over priced
I have a turbular manifold on atm with a sucky ebay turbo. It will not go anywere over 1 bar
Thats why i want a new one
But im thinking to go with gtx3076 og the new gtw3476r
But i cant figure out wich ar i should go for. Maybe go with 063 and then see if it surging
new turbo but witch one

IMHO you have to decide between under and over 500hp. The 500hp frontier is a quite hard one; below, the Wagner stuff works, and so do hydraulic heads, and it´s the very streetable setups with full boost between 3000 and 3500 possible with 2,2L.
Above, the Wagner stuff maybe limitting power or reliability, and packaging with the turbo housings gets tricky, so maybe tubular mani should be used. Since the turbos get bigger, there won´t be boost under 4200, and you should do a stroker or a mechanical head to have a driveable powerband.
So go for 450-480 hp and the wagner/hydraulic/stock setup with boost in the lower 3000´s, or go 520+ with stroker or higher revs. The "just 500" number is, in MY eyes, a very difficile zone.Leave a comment:

Yep, or one of them, their even better low down response from what I've read. Been trying to find one cheap to give a whirl before go nuts with
K26/7

RS2+ Spec will satisfy those requirements....for a while.I'll be watching this and adding some comments. Myself also will be considering different options for a street able turbo that gives some punch. I'm not after high top end speed cause I'll never see that. More cruise and catch folk off guard and get the power to the wheels and shift quickly. I'm not a number chaser, just after a reliable setup. Assuming a Wagner k24 em is going to be more than enough and higher flow injectors and fuel delivery. What turbo would anyone recommend. Not hijacking just curious

T3 flange manifold opens up a better choice of turbos than K24/6, The Borg Warner EFR range seem to give excellent results and are really good quality. If I was starting from scratch with more money a 7163 would be my first choice.
You can use a Garret as well as other makes on a K26 flange using a Turbonetics hot-side housing.
Link below gives details of the entire range, the K26'S are about halfway down the page, some machine work maybe required to fit them.

Here's an example of a K26 unit.

There's also various K26/7 hybrids that'll do 450+ BHP, Vidar Skotheim (on here) currently has some for sale and 'TheTurboEngineers' offer some great turbos, not cheap though I guess you get what you pay for...well one would hope so.Leave a comment:

My efr does 450 bhp on a stroker with full boost just before 3k rpm. For more power an efr 7163 should do 500 plus with full spool on a non stroker at about 3500 rpm. Or I liked my gtx2867r for almost 450bhp and quick spool. Gtx35 is way too much for 550 bhp.

If only they made turbos for the K24 flange... But they seem to get pretty popular.Leave a comment:
