Yah i know
It has allmost same size as a 35 but should spool faster than a 35
I dont know its a freaking jungle
But i can get a gtx3076 for the same price as a gtw but the gtw should make more power for the futureLeave a comment:

Gtw isn't as good at the gtr Garrett but obviously cheaper from memory

TJ:it seems this thread is interested since i'm going to rebuild
the AAN and also the new turbo.my 2871 just died at the night
with M3 E46.I'm going to get the I beam rods with all fresh bearings
My power goal is the same sub 500HP and still driveable on street with
fairly spool up time.I just joined the Group Buy of Wagner 'EM.I have
the one with KKK flange but i decided to get T3 flange for more
Alternatives.yes i'm on the budget due to needing for some rebuild
Parts ie,head studs, headgasket set etc.I have heard a good thing
about holset and its lrice is fairly cheap and when it comes to a rebuild
time.it's totally another world comparing to Ball Bearing turbo BTDT.
Can anyone recommend me about the Holset?I love my GT2871 .It's
ultra fast spool just like the stock K24 but yes i've been with her
for 10years.i need some more smile on my cheeks.Leave a comment:

A gt3076r is happy at up to 500 bhp. Some results will show higher or lower but 500 bhp is a fair maximum.

Go for a Bog Warmer (Borg Warner) then IMO or some exotic KKK from the TTE.
Quattronaut raises good points about 500BHP being a frontier so to speak, it's one I've been thinking about myself a good deal recently.
For 500+BHP in a street car you really need to go for a good quality tubular manifold and seriously consider increased capacity to help with spool up if you want a car that's nice to drive with a wide power band.
A well ported head is absolutely essential for your goals, the stock one's are pretty crappy and present a major restriction above 500 BPH....if not well before that.
The hydraulic lifters will cope with 500BHP or more, what they won't tolerate is the high RPM's that come along with a big turbos usable power band.
Edit...Typed this while you guy's were posting, what tubular EM do you have?
Garrets are good but Borg Warner's are even better.Last edited by K Simmonds; 25 July 2016, 08:26.Leave a comment:
