AAN tuna can dizzy repair

hi guys
today i have replaced my hall sensor in the tuna can dizzy
I found a repair kit of an Audi 80 dizzy with vacuum ignition advance on ebay and bought it
First I removed the old Hall sensor,than i removed the new sensor from the base plate
afterwords i put the new sensor on the AAN base plate with rivets and put it all back together
I know that there might be other (better) solutions but I just solved it like this way

Why bother with all of the drilling and stuff, when any distributor hall from a similar housing will do 1:1? For example this one from Golf 2, 1.8 16V KR engine - 052998065.

The point of my DIY was to use a $20 Hall sender, e.g. from EFI express (or others):

that"s cheap but with expensive shipping to belgium plus fees i think i will pay more than what i now have paid
o well,It does not matter anymore...........

I paid 45 euros for that Golf hall which now happily resides in my tuna can. Your local part dealers should have this in stock.
