  • RS2 turbo to AAN

As the AAN is essentialy the same engine as the ABY, excluding the inlet manifold has anyone got any real BTDT's, not opinions please!

I am after information on the oil and coolant lines to the turbo, will the original items fit or do I need to use something else. I do not want to fit spacers as this means more gaskets and more chance of a leak.

Original oil and coolant lines will fit right on, no spacers required.

Make sure you renew the gaskets though, best to get both for the turbo and the one for the lower pipe where it connects to the block as it's easier if you remove it here as well as on the turbo.

Lots of info on this procedure on the Audiworld.com 'Original S Cars' forum as the Americans do this a lot, the search is working now so you'll find all you need to know there..

          Rs2

          Corey,

          If done this before.
There is no problem at al...
If you use a K27 turbo you need a adjustment on the oil line.
RS2 turbo is no problem at all.

              Cheers guys.
Nice to have all the info available before we start!!!
Then I will have to sort out the air filters, any thoughts on the Dahlback stuff?

Expensive, but it works well. I would make my own with some plastic tubing from B+Q Plus in the S6 beast there is a bit more room!!

I take it you will be doing the EM at the same time Corey?

I made my own Dahlback Racing type air filter but I took it off after a day as I couldn't stand the bleedin noise it made, I don't want my car to sound like some kid's hatchback with a dump valve..

I'd say a better idea is to add a duct going to the top of the oil cooler inlet, to get more air into the box..

That's a good point, I don't fancy the S6 to sound like the ur, the wife knows how much I have done to that and I don't want her thinking we are doing the same!!!
