STUPID 5 cyl blocks question.......

Stupid question here, I'm sure I know the answer is already YES but........

I am looking to mock up a project and I am looking for a 5 cylinder block to use,

Can I use ANY 5 cylinder petrol 10/20v and diesel engine blocks and the bell housing bolt pattern, engine block mounting holes, starter motor mounting positions are all going to be in the same/similar places?

Looking for a cheaper easyer way of obtaining cheap/free mock up bits for my Sapphire 4x4 project
