    K27-422 turbo - any good?

    Hi there

a friend of mine has a spare k27-422 turbo. it seems to come from some Mercedes diesel, but not sure
He wants to make a hybrid out of it, using the hot side of k24 or k26 (3b or mc, respectively).
Of course hot side will be a restricting element and he will have to put a bigger wheel.

Is this setup any good or k24 or k26 hot side will be too small?

We are talking about 400hp here.

That's not really an ideal turbo for an S2 the outlet for the comp housing is all wrong but it could be made to fit.

Can you pop the housings off and give us wheel trims?

    I'm guessing you'll want a minimum of a 56mm K26 #6 exhaust turbine housing.

If the turbo is free then you could make something work I'm sure.
