Its an encryption board, to try to prevent people copying the data.

MTM encryption boards and their various chip sets

As stated, it's an encryption or "key" board originally designed so people could not just copy MTM's software upgrades. While MTM still provides these boards with new chip sets, the original encryption has long since been broken and there are many many "MTM" chip sets that are out there as "Clones" without the encryption boards:

The 303 ps version required the use of a modified turbo (I don't know what the modifications were):

Do you have the special MTM-upgraded turbo installed? Otherwise you are NOT going to get 303 ps out of the stock K24-7000.

Yeah, you'll need a small 24/6 hybrid, a bit like MTM's own version of the RS2 turbo but not quite as good, well nowhere near as good to be honest. Nothelle also made one much the same which is what my dead 3B was fitted with when I got it.

From the research I did at the time I found out It uses a Porsche 944 K26 cold-side/wheel and and a K24 hot-side machined out to accept a custom K24/6 turbine/shaft.

As Dave says a stock K24 won't work properly with those chips, it'll push the turbo right off the compressor map and blow hot air. It'll be safe running without the N75 plugged in but will kill a stock turbo pretty quickly otherwise and may even damage your engine due to high EGT's.

You could maybe use a K24 7400 but that wouldn't be a perfect match for the software, what turbo are you planning on using with those chips?

Genuine MTM chips normally have a little hand written label on them with the details done in quite a distinctive style of writing, the latest I've seen with that hand were a set 303 set done in 1999 for an S4. I guess they swapped to printed stickers at some point, they always use a scrambler board though, where did you get them?

Sorry to hear you've broken your leg.

I have the parts in stock it build a replica of the MTM unit if your interested.

                      Nope i have stock turbo but i know i haven't 303 hp , i guess more or less 280
I have MRC chip on another Motronic on the S4 i rebuild (ADU engine) dyno says 352 hp before accident, i hope the MRC chip has no daughter board too like the picture on my post. On my GTQ race track future, i'll go for a RS2 program, so i hope i can copy the MRC one

However i found this chip on ebay for stock Turbo & injectors, it seems lot of people are happy with it :

+1 interested in these chips, or other reputable sources of copied software to tide me over until I upgrade hardware.

Do you need any other mods for these chips? Like waste gate sring / 3 bar map sensor?

You need the right or close turbo.

A stock K24 7200 will not make over 300BHP on a 2.2 I5 unless you seriously abuse it.
