Alternator to S2 3B ?

Mine alternator is gone and and i need to replace that alternator.
Does someone know is 162kw and 169kw S2 same alternator?

And i have in my basement 90A alternator what must be from Audi.
Code: 034 903 016D
I dont know is that correct alternator to my S2.

Can someone say what code i must to look?

You mean 90 Amp.
I would think 90 Amp is about right.......if it works, it's got to be better than the one on the car!!

I have just looked into alternator for my 3B and with air con its 110 Amp, without it's 90 Amp. I don't know if there is a difference between 3B and ABY but I wouldn't have thought so.

They are different. Different pulley design. The ABY uses a multi-ribbed belt

Maybe i can somehow but newer alternator.
And that coded alternator that i habe in spare. Does someone know that code and will it go to 3B?

The original number is correct for a KV,7A or 3B.

It's normally air-con cars with the bigger alternators

still problems to find new alternator to my 3B S2. I cant find what coded alternator goes there. I have no A/C. With A/C right code looks to be 034 903 015 F. Also its not 90A but 115A. Can i put more powerful alternator to my 3B?

Use a 90A unit, it will be fine.

I dont know what alternator to use. Just now i have b3 alternaor and its broken. Loading voltage 13v. I need new one but i dont know what to put.
Why 90A is fine? I was thinking to put ABY 120a and change the alternator pulley. Then i will get more power also. Just now when i put all things on then alternator is so weak that lights goes darker.

First, the v-belt pulley struggles to drive the 120A alternator, this is why Audi fitted the 4pk multi-groove belt to the AAN / ABY / ADU.
Unless you have heated electric seats and A/C you don’t need the amps, as you will not draw much
So you can fit a 120A if you like but it’s not necessary, a more powerful alternator will not solve your problem, correct voltage will. I would try a new voltage regulator first, they are about 15 Euro

What's the unloaded voltage. Should be 14.4v as it's the regulator output. 13v loaded isn't that bad. I'd worry if it was lower at around 12-12.5
