3B vs ABY - coolant hose differences?

Been searching but not found definitive answers...

What are the exact differences between 3B and ABY coolant hoses - I mean full standard set...?

I know that the hose on the rear of the block is 3mm larger diameter on the ABY... what else? (I realise ADU has slightly different routing)

The reason for the question, I want to buy a set of Roose Motorsport hoses, but their kits have a different number of hoses specified for 3B vs ABY (8 for 3B vs 10 for ABY)

If the 3mm difference to the block is the only difference, I will buy the ABY kit and a larger adaptor for fitting it (or just tighten the clamp more...)

Hmmm... but, will it physically fit, (ie different shape or routing) or is the diameter different?

Yes you can, just need to be careful of the brake lines coming off the ABS pump - I used an ABY kit on my conversion. I just tried to find pics of it but can't really see properly - I just took my rad out of the car so can't take you a pic either!
You just need to buy an ABY/AAN coolant boss for the block

Brake lines are slightly re-routed anyway due to the vacuum conversion...

Now just need to find a boss....

Rusty was making some very nice aluminium pieces a few years back, maybe he still has some?

I bought one of the two 3B water hose kits (the one without the big top rad hose) and it came with a hose I can't find a location for on my motor

Thanks Rusty - I have one of your excellent 3B items (wish I'd accidentally purchased an ABY one now... )

I've been looking, Thuppu doesn't make them, Albert neither, although it may be possible in the future...

If anyone has a lead on a decent upgraded item (don't really want OE plastic or OE metal due to cracking or rusting in tbe long term future)

Edit: found a couple of pictures showing 22mm block outlet to heater fitting, as made by Rusty... ABY version is 25mm...
