Thanks for that. My pick up pipe has no rubber on at all so I assumed it was supposed to be like that. Its an Aby by the way.

It should have a whole rubber section on the end which lowers the collection height.91 Modded 3B

I'm wondering if its still critical now I've put a baffle plate in the sump. That piece could have got stuck in the pick up pipe and done more harm than good.

Il lowers the end of the oil pikcup pipe so I would think its needed?
