    Balancing motor with upgraded rods.

I'm just wondering if anyone who already upgraded
the con rods on I5,have you balanced the engine?
Is it necessary to drill out the counterweight to compensate
the weight loss from the lighter con rods?
For example when rebuilding the AAN,we
Upgraded from stock rods (weight = x grams),
    The I beams conrods ( weight = x - 0.5 grams)
Let's say we're using the stock wrist pins,
    Stock pistons,rings.On bob weight calculation,
We're using the weight of the small end,big ends
100% of rotating mass + 50% reciprocating mass(
stock piston, rings, wrist pins) and drill out the counter
weight? Is this balancing necessary on 5 cylinder engine?
one of a few I5 from Asia.

Yes, you should balance the engine if you change the rods, even if they weigh similar to the OE items. You will need everything connected to the crank to re-balance, including the harmonic balancer at the front end all the way back to the clutch pressure plate the rear.

I did not re-balance mine. Just have no place to do it, no one knows how to balance a 5-pot here. Been riding for over a year like that.

Ofc, it's better to do it...
