AAN head and piston swap onto T4 Caravelle 2.5 petrol engine.
Hi folks I'm currently tearing apart my T4 Caravelle as the engine is shot and I have a AAN UrS6 engine which I'm getting ready to replace it with, now I've heard of people using the 2.5tdi engine to build a stroker engine however what I'm wondering is has anyone ever built a stroker using the 2.5i petrol block and crankshaft and switching out the stock 2.5i pistons and rods to be replaced by the AAN standard pistons and rods.
From what I've read the bore is the same but I can't find info on piston crown to pin dimensions or rod length.
If anyone has done what I'm thinking I will be incredibly grateful for any advice.
