is AAN 100% replacemnt for ABY cyl head

My ABY needs a new cylinder head and was just wondering if none are available how direct replacement is the AAN head.

I thought it was exact same part but read somewhere that the early AAN heads had a different mount for the hall sender?

    cheers

Early AAN heads used a hall sensor in a distributor like the 3B's. Later AAN's were produced like the ABY's with the hall sensor being located under the cam sprocket.

Details of production dates in the link below. With the exception of the hall sensor location, the heads are interchangeable.
