Over the last 2 months , I have been quietly and privately answering your questions as to why the instagram and other social media outlet name change from @inaengineering to @iabedindustries. Issam Nicholas Abed (me/I.N.A.) Engineering was started when I graduated University. I started this company to design and develop parts in small quantity that the community craved but no one cared to put the time into to develop. When I started , I had no plan for growth other than to be JUST an Engineering company that I wanted to do while maintaining a full time job . Unfortunately , the long hours started trying to keep up orders , innovate parts , leading the pack all while trying to manage cash flow. This growth did not come easy and I will admit that I made many mistakes along the way causing countless sleepless nights coupled with anxiety about what to do next ….. and next eventually happened by growing the company from a 225 sqft office to a 8,000 sqft+ base floor business spanning across 3 buildings with more coming soon. Fast forward to the end of 2015. After work started on the new engineering studio , I sat down with a marketing team and asked what direction we should go considering the long anticipated launch of the website. The general consensus was I was no longer running an Engineering company but now a manufacturing company so we should do a name change to reflect this. Issam Nicholas Abed Engineering is my baby so that idea was tossed out. We then went back and forth with sticking “motorsport” or “manufacturing” in front the name and no matter which I came up with , it simply did not have a good ring to it. One night my wife threw out iABED , she liked it….I liked it and thus iABED aka IssamAbed Industries Ltd. was born leaving the Engineering arm to be a subsidiary. I wear my name and my family name proud. When there is an issue with my company or my products , it affects me personally.
