Resistance across pins appr 30 ohm. Disconnect and start her up/drive. Tickover will likely be faster and the car will be "jerky" to drive. Re connect and "discover" it is in fact working OK. Several on the forum including me suffer with a lazy ISV on first time idling - it seems to need to re learn each start up.

I think I get this occasionally. Most days the car starts and settles to a steady 750 - 800 rpm in a few seconds. But on other occasions, the car will "hunt" for a up to a minute or two before it settles down. I have no idea why but this sounds similar to the symptoms you are describing....

      Cheers,

Without 12 volts it is always partially open, adding 12 volts will open the valve and reversing the polarity will close it IIRC.

You can use VAG Com to confirm it's operational by running the output tests.
