    Connecting rods question.

I just acquired the I Beams rods and noticed slightly scratch marks on the
The axial face of the rods.would this be any problem when installed?

Where are they from; who made them? The shot peeing looks very coarse and perhaps that's an indication of their quality. The marks look rather nasty, what's the rest of them like?

I'm doubt the scratchs are from the shipment and poor packaging.

They look like they've been rattled around against each other at some point. There is clearance on the axial side between the big end of the rod and the crank, so I can't see the marks affecting their use. I'd question how well they have been manufactured and handled before you received them.

Looks like transport damage,I think it's more cosmetic and should not cause any problems other than bad taste looking at it.Is there any numbers on the side of rods?

On my SCAT rods there was a numbers, and they match,so if you would mixed them up,then you might have a problem that rod will not fit perfectly if you know what I mean.

I would dress off any blurring where that mark is - its something that is so simple to do you might as well.

The other thing I'd be wanting to check is that there is no rifle drilling to supply oil to the gudgeon pin...

Ahhhh, just had a closer look at your pics and see there is a hole at the small end to let oil through, probably provide oil if splash lubrication is alright for you
