    ISV ideas!

I was searching around, my S2 keeps stalling even after cleaning the ISV, so I'm thinking about replacing it.. and when looking under the hood on my volvo 240 I found one similar but with another part number.. soo, do you think it could work

the difference in price is well, quite huge

    audi ISV: sv/kr 1.995
    volvo ISV: sv/kr 898

and when searching I found out that the MAF from the volvo 940 with similar numbers works on the ABY enginge, they are 2.5'' tho but here in sweden you can get them in 3.0''.. price difference = HUGE

    audi MAF: sv/kr 3.783,58
    volvo MAF: sv/kr 1.395

I bought an aftermarket 940 MAF to test on the S2 and it didn't run well at all, so I would assume an OEM one wouldn't either. There is a chance the aftermaket one I tried was crap though although it was new.

yeah maby, found two guys here i sweden who got it working, one shop took the internals from the volvo MAF and put them in the audi MAF housing, the other one ended up with the whole volvo MAF on his car.

one mentioned that the BMW M5 3,6 works without questions, but sounds expensive

        Buy a new one?

I bought a new ISCV for £32 GBP delivered and it is fine.

        Not genuine but works perfectly!

When mine needed replacing I used a pattern part, was about £55 with delivery and works fine
