  • Engine mountings NLA What now

I am looking to replace the engine mountings in my 1996 aby coupe.

    Part numbers

    SNUB MOUNT 811 199 339 B
    ENGINE MOUNT RH 8A0 199 382 D
    ENGINE MOUNT LH 8A0 199 382

Audi say NLA. Check Audi Tradition for stock.

What do you guys use as replacements? Is there a good after market replacement available?

Guy let me just add a bit of info.

Used as a road car. has/will be upgraded to RS2 spec with Prj software and 440cc injectors.

Not sure on the track mounts and additional vibration it may cause if any.

Not saying these are the same hardness / firmness of oem rubber ones, but they are available if you're stuck.

If anyone has tried them I'd be keen to hear how they compare in terms of firmness to the oem rubber ones ?

I know it's a pain, but did you check Audi Tradition ?

Did you 'cross-check' the oem part numbers to see if Lemforder make them, if they do, they be a good replacement in terms of quality versus cost ?

All are available from Audi Tradition, it's always worth checking first before posting on the forum as now if someone searches those part numbers they will think they're NLA. But I can also understand the frustration that Audi dealerships don't seem to be able to check Tradition for stock. Having to buy some parts from dealers and some from Tradition is quite annoying.

My Audi contact normally tells me if things are available at AT.

As an alternative to the OEM has anybody had good results from after market mountings.

Local Audi dealers here have always checked Tradition for available parts. Although yesterday I ordered some parts and dealer told me that they haven't been able to reach Tradition for a few weeks??

I've only had experience with Bristol Audi, I was hoping they could order a part that I knew was available from Tradition to avoid the shipping cost, but was just told it was discontinued. I assume even if they know it's available through Tradition they won't order it?

Guys my local Audi dealer advised the Snub part number 8D0 199 339P as a possible alternative to the original OEM 811 199 339 B.

                      Anybody ever used one.

Looking for a local alternative. (South Africa Audi)

Importing everything I need is expensive.

Thanks for the offer, will contact you if I don't get one.
