No problem. I bet that would be a peppy set up, a real on-ramp and light to light demon.
I'll comb through my research/build emails as I have time. I sent hundreds of emails over a couple years with my brother and a few other people before determining the 7163 was the best fit for my intentions. BorgWarner's MatchBot was invaluable in making the decision.
Here's what Geoff Racier of Full Race had to say about using a 7163 on a 2.5L stroker street car that may see some auto-x and track days during the summer, or trips to the mountains to go snowboarding.
Originally posted by Geoff@FullRace.com-EFR7163 is a very unique turbo, and yes I agree it could be an excellent fit your application. Spool comes on slightly later than 6758 but top end power is close to 7670. The EWG vband inlet/outlet is a huge plus, especially for a 5 cyl engine where singlescroll and decent a/r size is critical. Of all the turbos you had previously considered, they are much laggier, and in the case of the hta3582 its a much much larger turbo also. That being said, I would agree, that the 7163 would be the easy winner if i were building myself a car like yours
-if you plan to use this at multiple elevation levels, I would stay conservative on max RPM. Depending on your boost level, it may not be wise to rev beyond 8k rpm since this turbo may approach overspeed.2013 Touareg TDI /// #farmenwagen

I've got GTX3076R gen2 with .83 hotside on a 2,5 stroker engine. Made 415kw at the wheels on E85 and I'm very happy how it spools.
