2.3 engine from C4 into B3

2.3 10V engine from C4. Does the C4 oil sump clear the subframe?
Oil sumps have different part nr. and shapes.
Is it possible to use sump from C4 or do I need a B3 oil sump?

it will clear the subframe but the radiator beside the intake is an other problem
normaly the sump with radiator next to intake is different
maybe your engine have a iron sump?
i use a AAN sump in b2 car and it's doable with the space between sump and radiator
but my engine stands on stiff mounts so it dont move much

AAR steel sump will not clear with side NG radiator in stock position. Tried myself. IIRC, oil pickup tube will have to be taken from NG too, but not that sure already.

Why AAR engine has separate vacuum pump? Have not seen one in a NA gasoline engine before.

Every NG from 80 or 90 has vacuum pump from the factory. PS, RT don't have them. See etka. My opinion is that it can be removed easily.

Ok. I have PS on my 90.
But still why it is needed, does these engines produce so weak vacuum that brakes don't work properly?
