Setting up Throttle Cam for WOT?

Afternoon chaps,

I have done a search and can't find any definitive posts on the above. Does anyone have any instructions or link to a guide to correctly installing and adjusting the throttle cam and throttle cable?

When I first refitted the throttle cam following my engine refurb, I noticed that I could not get full throttle before the cam hit the injector rail. So I managed to move the throttle cam anticlockwise as you look at it, to get more travel so that the cam did not hit the injector rail.

Is there a way to check physical WOT and ECU WOT easily?

Didn't have time to read that link but you really just want to adjust the cable so that it just just allows the idle switch to close with zero throttle application
You can also check you are getting full throttle with the measuring blocks in VAGcom

I think from memory you set the cable using a 6mm drill bit to partly open the throttle and set the cable position. When I'm in the garage next I'll try find the page with the details on

I just tighten the cable on the adjuster until it just lifts the throttle enough to open the idle switch, then back it off a little so the idle switch just closes with a closed throttle.
