3B AAN Oil Pan Baffle for Track Car

    Hello Everyone!

    I have a 1991 Audi 200 20v that is my track car.
I have a oil consumption issue with my car on track.
After each track session about 1/4 qt of oil ends up in my catch can.
I have URS4 oil windage tray and have lots of work into the pan as far as baffling to try to keep oil from getting into breather but it still has issues.

    And input would be appreciated.

Also i understand that Thuppu makes an awesome bolt in baffle...
    anyone use this on track?

I have tries to message him but his inbox is full.
Anyone on here has his email?

    Cheers!

    Had a similar problem.
    Following was done.
Cam cover modified by addition of breather. Used existing pipe in cam cover by blocking front and addition oil splash cover from a Golf. This so that should oil level rise above standard breather, blow by pressure has an alternative route.

Added a oil return from oil catch can to sump (below oil level)

Catch can with 1.5lt capacity, with 2 inlets, one return and breather. All pipe work 18mm.

Sump with three way trap door around oil pick up to prevent oil surge.

    Untested at this stage.

Hope this may prompt some ideas.

Yes I am running a modified cam cover as well with a breather at the back that plumbs into the small nipple on the metal Audi 90 breather junction that I have.
Welded a tab in front of the port so it doesn't have any splash issues.

I also have walls and trap doors in the oil pan and have never had a pickup issue on track just the consumption issue.

I have thought about adding drain back into the block from catch can but haven't done it yet.

I am still running the plastic 3b baffle as well but it seems like the one that Thuppu sells blocks the back of the pan and the breather pickup much better.

Don't get any oil at all when driven hard on the street but it's like clockwork on track!
      About 1/4qt every 25min session.

Thinking Thuppu baffle is final piece of the puzzle

I would connect the cam breather direct to the catch can. As soon as the oil rises in the standard breather, the benefit of the cam cover breather is defeated.
