Are cam caps interchangable between 20V engines?

I have a 7a head without cam caps, are cam caps interchangeable? Or are they machined specifically for each head in some way?

    Cheers for the help.

They are ment to be line bored on the individual head. You may get lucky maybe not. But its not "right" to swap them about.

Ok but you need to line hone afterwards so cheaper to buy another head (for now).

The cam caps are unique to each head since they are attached to the head and line-bored at the head factory. Hope you didn't pay too much for the 7A head because it is useless without its original cam caps.

            Sorry.

Question, whats with first two unnumbered cam caps? I have all numbered ones from 1-10, but missing both of the unnumbered ones. Is there the same situation as with the numbered ones? That nothing can be done with changing?

Probably not as critical as 1 to 10. 1 to 10 each sit above 2 valves with springs, etc. The non-numbered front caps don't have any upward thrust on them. Still, it would best to put them back in the same location and with the same front/back orientation, to be sure.
