    RS2 turbo rebuild...

Found a small oil leak from what looks like the core of my RS2 turbo, so it looks like time for a rebuild... or replacement. I'm in 2 minds about modifying what is an increasingly rare turbo and modifying would also mean that I have to replace my prj chip.

    Standard rebuild extras:
    • 360deg bearing
    • Billet impeller
    • Cut back exhaust

Bolt on options to work with k26 flange and OEM airbox (require injectors and a remap):
    • K26 special - Norge Audi parts / iroz
    • K26/7 - Norge, KX500
    • MD357

Any thoughts? Remap is, as ever, the massive fly in the ointment...

Engine is built for 450-475bhp ish, so could go nuts...

I would add the billet compressor wheel and cut back the hotside. Better flow and response, but still usable with your existing setup.

Remap is the big one really. I have a similar dilemma to face at some point

Think a stock turbo is my best bet just now, with 360 bearing. Saves remaping, which is a pain.

Don't get the turbine cut back. It just kills it's efficiency.

Myself I am going vems plug and play no more worries on remap. In your place I would go bigger turbo aftermarket ecu to exploit the engine which is ready for good power...
