Habib - what compressor housing are you trying to get the feed over?

I've got a K27 housing and I have used a spacer to get the standard oil feed - the one on top over. I got mine made at work but audiman(tom) has a spare one going.

Find the speedlow website for custom fitments and hoses - Mark H has given me some info on them - my be in some of my posts on my turbo installation.

        Habib,

I've made mine up out Stainless braid hoses and JIC fittings I adapted a few of the standard unions to take the JIC hose ends and adaptors.
I get mine from a company called Speedflow in East London, website here:

Get a catalogue from them, its explains all the fittings and what to use and their dimensions and they are very helpful if you call them and need advice, they'll even make up hoses for you to your specs.

Once you get your head around the fittings and how they work its really quite easy to make them up.
For the oil feed you will need Stainless braided Teflon hose, I think in -6 size gives the same internal diameter as the standard stainless oil feed pipe.
You will need to get a little welding done to the plate that bolts to the oil filter housing to take a weld nipple to take the hose end and also probably to the plate that bolts to the turbo oil inlet. I did'nt on mine because the oil inlet on the Turbonetics /Garrett is threaded but if you are using a KKK I don't think they are.
I just cut the plate from the end of the oil feed pipe and filed it flat and had the steel weld nipple welded on.
Heres a picture of the one I've got bolted to the oil fiter housing, sorry the photo is a bit poor.

        Mark.

Mark - Do you think it is possible to cut those flanges off the oil line, file it flat like you did, but instead of welding a weld nipple onto it, drill out the hole, thread it, and insert a Metric to JIC adapter, 730-06 for example?

I've got the hang of these hoses after actually reading the speedflow catalogue!

There are companies out there that make flanges for turbo that are threaded - Link scroll down to the "Oil return flange with 1/2 NPT"

I'm waiting on some replies from manufacturers of these but they are all in the states - Can't find any in the UK

            Doug,

It might be, but those flanges are fairly thin and therefore there wont be a lot of thread cut into them, so I'm not sure how strong (fatigue resistant) they would be over time.

Good point Mark - I could tap the adpater I have and get another made for the other end - we'll see.

I got the hoses and adapters to do the oil and water pipes.

I got the weld on nipples as well as the threaded adapters - the flanges are 6mm thick and the adapters I got are M12x1.25mm. There is only 7mm of thread on it so I am going to thread the flanges and use a permanent threadlock on them - when I work out how to weld mild steeal to stainless I might change them.

Habib - if you want all the part numbers or pics I can post them on here.

                    For the oil line,

First you have to chop the flanges off the end of the standard oil line. Cut and file so they are smooth.

This is were you have to decide whether you are going to weld on an adapter or tap the holes in the flanges to fit a threaded adapter.

The pic shows the weld nipple and the threaded adapters.

You will need some M12 copper washers to seal the threaded adapters to the flanges.

Doug thanks for the info. Im gonna be running on K27/29. So what should i do to my water feeds as there aint no adaption for this on the turbo, will i have to bypass the link?

And the custom water line. I am going to replace the adapter that you should already have fitted in the turbo - this was because I didn't have the adapters to hand.

You also need to cut the metal pipe, that comes across the front of the engine, nearish the block. I might flare the end a bit as the hose is going to be held on by a jubilee clip (the fancy blue one with the cover over it)

Thanks got to Mark(again) for helping me sort these out.

Hehe - you replied too quickly!

Do you mean there are no water adpaters fitted - you just have threaded holes in the turbo? If so, you can do exactly what I am doing above.

If you don't have an adapter for the water connection on the bottom of the turbo then the easiest thing is to get one - there must be plenty of spare turbos lying around - Try all the guys that are changing/changed there turbos recently - Mark, Glen, Sal, Greg etc, etc.

You can use the standard oil and water feed hoses for the connections on the bottom of the turbo.

And if you are ordering these from Speedflow - tell them to chuck in a catalogue as that has instructions on how to make the hoses up.

I originally tapped the holes - which worked but I thought it would be better to weld them so I have the weld nipple on the flange now - don't laugh at the welding - it will get the dremel on it to neaten it up.

I didn't use the 45 degree adapter on the flange connected to the block - this will make it a bit cheaper - if you tap the flanges, the 45degree just fits over the compressor housing - now that it is welded it will sit a bit lower so I might not use the 45 degree adapter on the turbo end either - it's getting cheaper!
