Electronic engine parts swapping questions: 3b/aby

Hello everyone.


I'm pulling my aby engine from my coupe quattro project and installing it into a 95 v6 90 quattro sedan. I've been collecting parts for the past year and I'm attempting to build a 20vT 3b/7a/MC engine.

It consists of:
7a head and cams
7a bottom end
s6 double headgasket setup to lower compression
3b intake manifold
3b fuel rail and lines
3b exhaust manifold
3b downpipe
10vT wastegate
10vT oil cooler bracket
10vT oil cooler
AAN windage tray
7a oil pan
k24 turbo(not bought yet)
S2 3b engine harness
3b wastegate frequency vavle
ABY throttle body
S2 throttle body cable
3b ecu(not bought yet)

So here are the questions:

Can I use the ABY/AAN throttle position sensor with the 3b ecu?

I can source AAN injectors. If I remember correctly I can use these with the stock 3b ecu or is that statement false?

Will they work correctly if I run the 7a fuel pressure regulator? If I remember correctly the ABY/AAN engine run the same CC's as the 3b engine but at 4bar.
The 7a fuel pressure regular is a 4.2bar fuel pressure regulator.

When I was at the junk yard. I noticed that the mercedes and the bimmers there had an altitude sensor. Is there any reason why they wouldn't work with the audi motronic setup? I'll get one of them by this weekend.

False. ECU needs remap to use AAN/ABY injectors. Of course it will work, but not very good.

You are right about fuel pressure, but as far I remember ABY/AAN injectors offer a bit different CC's. I think you will be running rich with AAN injectors and 4.2bar

They might have different voltage calibration. However BOSCH usually liked to standartize everything. Personally I've picked altitude sensor form audi 100 KE-Jetronic. It is the same part number as 3B/AAN/ABY/ADU.

Keep us informed about the project. I'm very interested in it, because I have a dream to make cheap thingy with motronic which I can blow during experiments .
