hose from cam breather pipe to turbo comp feed split

Today I discoverd that the small hose connecting the two rigid pipes between the cam cover (breather pipe I guess) and the Turbo compressor feed was split in 2 places !!was fine about 2 weeks ago, anyway ,anybody had this go/split before ?, do I need to replace it with an OEM part 034 xxx 999h (i think ?) or has somebody used like a piece of samco to do the same ?, I think the pipe has a 20mm core and is 5mm thick.

I've had a few boost-like problems since the weekend , could this split hose cause that kinda problem

That pipe will cause boost problems if it's split AFIAK. I replaced mine with samco stuff.

That fault falls into the Tom Jones category of being 'not unusual'

That wee link hose is quite a tight fit and sometimes sits in quite a stressed position - causing it to kink and split eventually. Something reinforced there couldn't hurt.

A split in that hose can cause problems as you'll get unmetered air, plus you'll be spilling crankcase fumes out under boost.
