Will need to change Aux. Radiator soon, is there anything better than this POS? I'm hoping somebody has a better built one. Martyn?

Yeah there is, called two bungs to block the pipes off. Just get rid of it mate. Lots of people run without them.

i will be running without mine when it's back together again...but it's a winter car so temps aren't a problem for me. with any luck, your AC condensor leaks like a sieve like mine did and you can just rip it out. experience with my corrado without the condensor is that it runs MUCH cooler.

i'd guess that doing that in the coupe would easily make up for any reduction in system performance with the aux rad removed.

I've recently removed my Aux Rad and I have the 3B aircon system in place and the temperatures are fine. At least they are at the moment, summer hasn't appeared yet!

?? If I understand You right, do You mean that the AC condensor, that is located in the right front wheel arch can be removed, and it wont do anything harm to the system? I have mine removed because of my air filter took the space, but was thinking of making a bracket for it somewhere else in the eng comp. But if I dont need it, I'll def consider to connect the air hose directly into the receptacle!

Or have I got it completly wrong?

            Double core all aluminum radiator....
I installed it in the stock primary radiator location, along with the AC condenser and stock radiator fan and shroud. see the first three pictures: http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/users/67840.phtml that detail the attachment of the condensor and the stock fan

Granted that I am still running the 7a motor, but at driver education event at Lime Rock Park last year, with track temperatures of 120 F, and running almost an hour long sessions (typically in 3rd gear from 4000-6000+ RPM, I had no issues with overheating).
(had to watch oil temps hovering at 130+ C however)

I agree for the smallish size of the aux rad send it to the dumpster. But replace it with something usefull like an oil cooler!!! Upgrade the primary rad like many others have done and stick an oil cooler where the aux rad was. I don't have a pic on me at the moment but a huge 1st gen Mazda RX7 oil cooler fits like thats what it was made for. I can take a pic tommorow if anyone needs to see it to believe it.. I currently have the car apart for an A/C refit (A/C was hacked during the 3B S2 conversion on this US CQ). This car will pull a 3 mi hill @ 100+mph on a hot day or do a hour stint on track day and oil and water temps are rock stable! Hopefully it can still do that after the A/C is reinstalled.
