I have the FMDV006 i think from memory, its great, not problems with it, fairly cheap, well made, good quality etc, and fits on the 3b fine. I believe the 007 or 008 what ever it is was made a bit smaller to fit the later 1.8t vag engines, both flow the same ammount of air.

Got my dv006 from www.badger5.co.uk which was very competetively priced. I noticed the difference straight away! A very good buy in my opinion!

I've ordered a DV006 direct from Forge as my Bailey DV30 has given up the ghost after 2 years. Got it for £66 delivered.

Should arrive today so will be on the car when I get it back later this week. I can give a report then.

Guys i was under the impression that the 006 was a piston valve and the 007 was a diaphram valve?

Got that info from Forge dealer a while back.

I think I'll stick with the 710N. It's a bit more suited to my budget.

Jamo, im 99.9% sure they are both piston. They guy i bought mine from phoned up forge before i bought mine to find out the difference, all he said was the size was the only difference, i.e. both piston and both flow the same ammount of air.

                  Can someone confirm this?

Spoke to Forge dealer, Forge sell a piston and diaphram version of the DV007 dump valve, but only a piston version of the DV006.

                    Now you know folks!

Normally the piston gets sticky and won't open and close with vacuum on the Baileys, be interesting to see if this was the case with the other guys.
