    Thermostat change

Hi Martyn, could you please pm a quote for me all the bits of hose i need to change when i am changing my thermostat, the car struggles to warm up to 70 deg in traffic and sits at 60 on motorways. Also is there anything else i need for the thermostat change. I have the thermostat and the gasket kit.
    Cheers

    Hi Graham,

I'll post it here for 'reference' for all the other guys. Two hoses are a must do whilst changing the stat:

    Stat to water pipe= 034 121 063C @ £2.68+vat
    Turbo to water manifold= N 020 2621 @ £9.89+vat

Cut the old ones off with a stanley blade, slit them, easy to get off. Then use WD40 on the pipes so you can slip to hoses forward and backwards to make fitting them easy.

If you have the stat and O ring, then that's all you really need to do. The top rad hose is always worth checking at the rad end, just to check to make sure the rad outlet hasn't snapped!! The top hose will split for sure if the cotton reel rubber mount at the rad end of the rad brace is broken. That could be worth changing for the piece of mind- 443 121 273E @ £4.31+vat.

Whether you want to consider changing to two temp sensors in the water manifold at the same time?.... easier to get to when doing the stat, but not that cheap...

    054 919 369B is the 2 pin front one @ £9.75+vat and the 3 pin back one is 034 919 369C @ £40.57+vat.
