The pictures in ebay are not backwards btw.. My eye's were playing tricks on me, however the cold side housing is definately point in the wrong position.

        For anyone curious.

        Cheers

I noticed that josh just by looking at the pics of your awesome cars.

There seems to be a flood of Porsche k26 turbo's on Ebay US at the mo, I wonder why?

Josh, sorry for sounding contradictive, but if you look carefully on the type plate of the turbo, the "ausführungsnummer" (or AUSF. NR.) of the turbo is "5326 970 64xx", which means that according to SJM's compressor maps, its cold side is the same one as the old Audi 200 turbo 10v with 165 or 200 HP (Europe only). That cold side flows a bit more air than a K24 7000 but not very much more, and the lag that the hot side induces makes it a really bad trade-off for the stock K24, a stock K24 makes thrust from 2300 RPM-on, being limited at the top end to about 290 HP, whereas the K26 starts pulling at 3300 RPM (with some serious sacrifices in terms of fuel mixture before the turbo starts spooling) and could only give some 305-maybe 310 HP running 1.4 Bar at 6000 RPM, past its efficiency range and minimizing its long term reliability.

A K2670 is a good turbo, I had nearly bought a brand new cold side a few months ago but missed on it at the last minute, but the turbo in this auction simply isn't a K2670 but a K2664

            Cheers all,
