    Advice please

Hi im definatly going to get my ecu remapped. Reading through the s2 forum i have found snippets of peoples views of mihnea. All seem to be positive and prices look competitive. But before i book the car in to have it done i would just like to have peoples views all in one place so i could have a read through your opinions all on one page. Any help would be very helpful and what do peoples think who have had the mihnea remap done. once again thanks

Anyone else got any views? Is the Yeovil agent the only one in the uk to provide the mrc tuning service? If so has anyone used agent in Yeovil. Thanks for your help

MRC now operates out of the UK - Mihnea knows his Motronic stuff - no qaums there at all. He's also not the sort of guy to try and sell you schtuff you don't.

Big thumbs up from me too, car is so much better after a remap and mihnea is a top guy to boot.

The Yeovil agent as you put it, is Tom's dad's garage (Audiman)

You wont go wrong going thru MRC thats for sure

Tom could fit a generic 3B or ABY upgrade (amongst other OBD programming of more recent VAG cars). I can do the ABY upgrade of course, but I think Mihnea is the only man for on the fly custom Motronic mapping.

Why do you need on the fly custom mapping is the question you should ask yourself, does your car have performance affecting mods? if not then it aint worth the extra cash

as u have probably guessed i am new but learning all the time from u experts . Basically i want more power and more torque cos i want more from my s2. From what i have been reading on here mihnea are very highly reccomended. On the basis off this i thought that i would get them to play around with my ecu and get what i want from it. If i dont get the fly custom mapping then what should i get? Any suggestions? What is the difference between the methods of getting more power and torque? Once again thanks for your help

Then main advantage is no 2 cars are the same , the chip is tuned to your car.

But if you haven't got any mods, like 7A cams, large flow exhaust, bigger turbo then a generic chip will be better value for money.

Send a PM to S2central and Mihnea to get views on the generic vs fly mapping
