3B S2 not running well on cruising..

oki.. here goes.. Don't have any idea on how i should explain this in english, but I will try..

when running on the road in constant speed the car feels a little hesitating.. It's almost like I'm unsteady on the pedal.. it's pulsing, not rythmic, and for a sec or so, then it pulls normal for a sec og two, then "braking" again.. I'm just feeling it in my "*** gyro", and can't se anything on the speedo.. as soon as I give it some more trottle it pulls steady untill I've reached the "trottle defined speed"..

    Anyone got an Idea?

or.. did anyone understand a word of what I was saying?

How old is the Lambda probe ? Has your fuel consumption gone up lately ? What type of air filter are you using ? Age of spark plugs ? Checked for leaks on ALL hose joins ?

Disconnect your MAF and clean contacts. Remove ECU "moteur" fuses for a minute or so and have another drive. Let us know how you get on.

Has the car an ECC and is it on?
I have the same but only if the ECC is on Auto. If it's on Eco there is no problem.

I think it has to do with the compressor turning on and off

It's just had a rebuild , so cambelt and sparkplugs are new.
haven't got the time to check the ignition yet (bought the car with rebuildt engine).. How do I check the timing?

there shouldn't be any leaks now, found a few..

I do have a ecc, but it's dead.. no signal in the panel, and no heating

where is the ECU "moteur" fuses located?

computer doesn't work, som don't know the consumption.. and just bougth the car, so I have no idea whether it's low og high..

open filter, but it's "out of oil" and the MAF is brand new..

oh.. one thing... in the back of the engine, facing the firewall og the exhaust side of the head, there is a breathing "outtake" (don't know the word for it..).. where does this go? it's breathing to open air...?

and what is the hose in back of the radiator fan for? it's connectet to the black box with fuel lines connectet to it, but why? I had to change my fan but this didn't have a hose connector..

The motor fuses are in the fuse box at the back of the engine bay, they are joined together with a red clip which says motor on it.

To check the timing you need to set number 1 cylinder to TDC (top dead centre), there is a mark on the crank pulley and one on the flywheel, set them to 0. Then you need to check the cam position is correct, there is a mark on the cam pulley, this should be pointing to the mark on the cam cover. To check the inlet cam you need to take the cam cover off and look at the back of the chain sprocket there is a 0 mark on each cam, these should be pointing to each other.

But i would check the dizzy timing first, there is a line at the base of the rotor arm which should point to the notch in the dizzy body when at TDC, make sure they are lined up exactly.

Also check all your boost hoses for leaks, and the intercooler o-ring. Get that changed for 'the mark h mod' (a 70-60 reducer pipe) do a search for it on the forum, lots of info about it.

The hose from the back of the head should connect to the breather system and is part of the hose which connects to the side of the block under the inlet manifold. You will be venting breather fumes into the engine bay. Does it smell in the car??

I dunno about the hose near the radiator, i guess thats one of the carbon cannister hoses. Can you get any pics of it??
