Spark plugs ABY and 3b

Hallo,

Since I need new spark plugs for my 3b, I found interesting thing while browsing spark plugs catalogues for Denso Iridium. It says, that for 3b IK22 spark plug is needed (which is colder), and for ABY - they recommend IK20.

WTFK ? Why same engine with less boost needs colder plugs ?

Of course while reading the forum, I have read many times that Densos are not good (just because they don't last much), and that damn F5DPOR (don't like them ) is best buy, so I will install those .

But the question remains - why different plugs are recommended ?

I tried the NGK recommended plugs and my car ran crap. Went back to bosch and it was fine.

Stick with what works, but you never know

I managed to get Bosch F5DPOR spark plugs for £2 each at GTI International.
I don't think the saturday boy from German & Swedish knew what they were. He didn't even get suspiscious when I bought 15 of them!

Stealer asks 17 EUR for each And if you compare copper and F5DPOR replace intervals - F5DPOR are even cheaper than copper.
