    Yes NOS!!!!
I would say wet sytem. Then you probably not have to alter the software.
Thats what I'm putting on mine. For 1/4 miles......
A dry system with 5 jets requires some serious modding and triggering in the software. If you hit the button, then the motronic needs to pump in more fuel...... But then you get some serious oumpffffff

About that 600 HP aim. I just spoke to a turbo supplier. He adviced me a gt35/42. Thats good for 600 HP. But where will it boost.
If you're going for a large turbo, go bigger then k27#7. My turbo ran out of air at high rpm. Thats why I want bigger 2.0 bar @ redline (8500 RPM) aiaiaiaiiiiiiii I'm looking forward to that

2bar redline LOL, that would be cool, mine is holding 1.55 and thats enough for it. Wet NOS it is then. 100bhp coming soon

This is a portal into the *VERY* dark side !

I really must do some research on N2O - from what little I know it can be safely used for off-boost applications - reducing some of that lag on a monster turbo installation... But when you are looking for all that extra power, torque and heat at maximum load I really do fear for the integrity of the engine internals.

I know you have the upgraded conrods (Arrows right ?) but I don't know how much abuse your stock pistons, valves and bearings will take with another 100bhp.

Don't forget there are other ways to improve your 1/4mile times on exactly the same engine - get rid of excess weight in the car... Trim, rear seats, aircon, heating, audio, spare wheel, wiper motots - whatever.

Another way to effectively remove weight from the car is to seriously lighten and balance the bottom end. There's a schpeel about this on the 'net somewhere - I'll find it in a mo...

Essentially every kg of rotating mass removed from the engine is the equivalent to removing many more kg of mass from the car itself.

So an investment in lightweight pistons, flywheel and crank could well be part of the answer. If I was you I'd also spend time in a left hooked IM because the improved pressure drop and air temperature are bound to make improvements. That and a month of winters nights weilding a die grinder to port the cylinder head should help VE at high rpm. Very hard to quantify these things but when you want to go the max they get to be important... All that minutae of burette'ing cylinder heads and balancing moving parts pays off on big power engines.

Have read many of the articles on there at various points. It's all VERY no nonsense and aims to cut the crap that some shady characters in the tuning business talk... Been there, got stung! Well worth a read if you're looking at tuning a Pug Gti as I found out randomly the other day!

I think I might just wait for my tuner to come back home and ask him what he thinks about it. I can see the problems. It can cause detonation and it may need the timing reduced at high revs. Also spark plug gaps and types are very important.

Is there anyone out there that has used NOS on high powered cars and have real life experience??

I have had the bottom end fully balanced to within 0.5g and the flywheel has been lightened a lot, but i would like not to have to strip the car out in gain a second or so. A 10lb bottle of NOS will last about 8, 1/4 mile runs with 100bhp jets. I guess i could run 25-50bhp jets for now until Mik gets a chance to look at the mapping??

Any thoughts on that lot then lads??
