    S6 remap

    Hi all,

I currently drive a 1996 S6 avant 138k miles, bog standard engine other than K&N panel filter, Forge re-circ valve. The engine has been regularly serviced and is in mint condition, only problem is, it's pulling over 2ton and I'm starting to get a bit greedy performance wise :mischeif: After driving my mates chipped S3 it makes mine feel like it needs a kick up the **** I've done my best to make sure everything is working fine in standard form (Just been serviced and no fault codes etc. Garage seem to think it drives well etc.) So now I feel it's time for some extra ponies via a remap
I like the sound of the figures and feel that a before and after rolling road sounds like the best option.
Question is where do I go? I realise I'm gonna have to travel but who does everyone favour? My own research directs me to MRC and I was impressed with a couple of S2's that went down the strip at GTI inter's 2005 wearing MRC stickers
    Any info/guidance would be appeciated

    Thanks

    Lune

You'd be wise to go down that route and get a re-map from them. They'll be re-mapping my car soon when its finished. There are lots of happy owners of MRC mapped cars on here. The quest for more power will have your credit card burning tho

          Cheers,

          Chris

            Hello Ben
Give me a bell tomorrow mate, need to talk to you anyway (not sure if I should ring you on your mobby at work ) I'll be reachable till 2.30pm, then I get lost in the unimaginable dungeon of hell that is NMUK

What was the problem with the S3 in the end then? Coil packs? hope it didn't cost him a packet at the stealers.

I would agree with the MRC route, i have had brilliant results on my S4 from the stage 2 kit and 3.0bar pressure transducer, it transforms the car.

Give Doug_RS2 a shout, he is part of MRC. He is in France as of tonight for a few days, but he should be able to help you out. PM me if you want some contact details.

Thanks for everyones comments and advice
MRC seem to be the way ahead Cheers Audiman Doug's been intouch through a PM and I will no doubt be intouch with him when he gets back on UK soil.
Haven't discussed what options are available as yet, but no doubt it's just how much money you want to throw at it, don't tell the other half
I gather this is how the dark path leads, it starts with a chip
