Non Start

Having a problem with my 94 s2 avant.
There is a spark from the engine but the fuel pump makes no noise when you turn the engine on, Is there a saftey reset switch fitted to the vehicle? and if so any ideas where?
Any other suggestions on what to check I'm thinking fuel pump but I'm not very experineced with these cars are there any electrics that play up?
Any help will be greatly appreicated

AFAIK there is a switch under the rear seat. I'm not 100% on this, but threre is one gadget that looks like it.

Your problem probably is the pump itself.

Btw these cars do not prime the fuel line. The pump does not activate before you crank the engine.

So you will not here the fuel pump when you turn on the ignition like most fuel injection cars?
will have a look for the reset button..
Car ran perfectly yesterday parked up in a car park for a couple of hours and when i came back it fired the cut out, then would fire but not hold any revs not it just turns over

That's correct. The pump will not run briefly as in many other cars.

Just removed the cover underneath the rear seats the is a relay and a small silver metal box with some hoses going to it is this the cut off switch??

Also Where is the fuel pump located

You have a coupe? Pump is in the tank.

It's not the metal cover unit I mean. That must be the rear diff control box.

The one I mean is in the middle.

Done a quick search on the item I mean. It's ABS related "switch for longitudial acceleration". So this is probably not what I've thought it was.

Can't see anthing that resembles a cut off switch.
Is there any way to test the pump?

Unplug the FP relay in the fuse box and put a in jumper wire.

Done the checks and it's not the relay..
had a look under the car can see the fuel filter but guessing the pump is hidden away Can you change the pump without dropping the tank out?
Which fuel hoses can you remove to check for fuel in the engine bay as i can see 2
i don't think there will be any but just want to check before i go and buy a new pump

What model chassis? What engine? On 3b engines there is a banjo bolt on the fuel rail and this can be loosened. ABY does not have the banjo so you would have to loosen the FPR connection.

Coupes have the pump inside the tank as I said and it can be accessed by removing the boot bottom trim.
