    My to do list....

Due to recent events im taking the plunge and modding my s2 avant. Heres a list of what ive got planned , pretty much tired and tested route as far as i can see and reliabilty is very important.
rs2 turbo, rs2 exhaust manifold, 3" turbo back exhaust (twin box with sports cat), 7a cams (possibly both inlet and ex but undecided yet), 380cc injectors, custom intercooler (similar to Toms and Sals but 3" deep), 7a fuel pressure reg,
The heads coming off anyhoo for a new gasket so cam chain and belt will be done at the same time, along with idler pulley and rs2 water pump.
Then a mapping session with either Mihnea or Wayne at chipwizards depending on whos available at the time
Can anyone foresee any problems with this combination?
Most of the parts are sourced just waiting for delivery.
    Cheers in advance

3" deep IC will not fit behind any standard bumper - S2 or RS2 - you will be scraping the bottom pulley!

7A FPR on an avant? Do you have a rare 3b avant? If you have a 3b then you probably don't need the cats.

Get the downpipe made with a nut welded on to it so EGT can be measured - you need that for the remap. Also make sure the hole for the lambda is not too small as a lot of custom downpipes damage the wideband lambdaa required for mapping.

I can't remember how deep my big IC is - but a deeper one would not have fitted. Are you keeping the original intake or going for a front mounted throttle body one?

Fuel pump is a good idea.

k scrap the fuel pressure reg, (i speak bolx),it is an, im assuming the rs2 fuel pump would be suitable? The intercooler was chosen with info from a thread on here started by sal, and the size quoted which would fit was 24x12x3.
cheers for the comments keep em coming, i need the info

The ic i have is 3" deep (same as Tom,Doug,Marks and Jeffers) fits ok behind stock S2 bumper, i have a good 25-30mm gap between crank pulley. Some trimming is needed from the back of the grills though.
Is the RS2 FPR different to the ABY's?

i was looking at this the other day, and if you ran the power assist pump and the alternater off the same belt, and you lost the other two grooves it would give you nearly 2inches more room at the front

only stumbling block is that the pulley almost looks like it has a rubber section anyone know what its purpose is?

                  regards

Mine must be a compact front end Avant then coz the RS2 IC still is hard up against the lower vents, it matches with the wheel arches so I presume it is at the right position.
I can only get my finger between the IC and the bottom pulley!

Lets have a group buy on RS2 exhaust manifolds!

I did wonder about this with your other post as i've got loadsa room on the Coupe with the RS2 IC and Xmember.

                          No idea.

Gav is going the whole hog! could you pm the rough prices you paid for the RS2 conversion? Will be walking down the dark path next year me thinks.

Hmm now there's a idea for MRC, set price Rs2 conversion with remap
