    Engine cooling

    Hi Everybody,

    Just a thought or sugestion...

Yesterday was doing some routine maintenance-ISV, Air flow meter cleaning and etc,

and noticed that main radiator is a bit dirty after winter. So I took a brush and cleaned gaps between "fins/blades" (dont know how u call it).
Today was driving back from work-outside temperature like in summer and noticed that the temperature of engine is lower than last week. (not much-but noticable)
Could it be that the cleaning just improved airflow through the radiator?

will somebody can help me on that or its just an ilusion?

    Cheers

Yes it can help, no it's probably not an illusion! Anything that restricts the passage of air over the cooling fins will affect the cooling for radiators and intercoolers.

The internal tubes of an intercooler will also clog up with crud over time! A bit of a clean out would spruce things up
