Oil leak?

Arrived home last night accompanied by a weird grating noise and a smell of burning plastic. Discovered that the undertray was hanging off and fouling the wheel on tight corners as well as hitting the road.

When I tried to refit it (excellent fun in the dark ) I discovered that the rear underside of it was covered in oil. Can this have come from the engine? Nearer the front of the car was clean.

Sounds like a weekend job Kenny! time to get down and dirty to find the source. If nothing else, clean up the whole area, leave the tray off and go for a short drive to track the source down.
