why get this oil --- unless u drive the car hard.......... for normal road use this oil will not work well....... (hence for motorsport)

You'd be surprised what a 10 year old + engine with a turbo can do to the condition of your oil, even with "normal driving".

If your "Normal driving" is anything other than regular, long and sustained motorway running at 60mph, the stresses on engines are huge. Decent oil is essential. I'd rather overspec my oil and save my expensive engine from expensive repair. Even with 10/60, after my last oil change at 5000miles it was rather on the dark shade of black - I do a lot of urban driving and short trips and that plays merry hell with your oil...

Each to their own mate, old expression, prevention is better than cure.

If 10W60 helps prevent engine and turbo failure (as recommended my Mihnea) then it's good enough for me.
